Spironolactone (Aldactone) is a medication that is used to treat a variety of conditions, including heart failure, hypertension, fluid retention, and acne. Common side effects of spironolactone include increased urination, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tiredness, dizziness, lightheadedness, sun sensitivity, breast tenderness or enlargement, and muscle or joint pain.
