Though it may seem impossible, it's true! Because we are a cash-only pharmacy, and our prices are not dictated by insurers or PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) we can offer most generic medications at a lower cost. Since we are a US-based certified pharmacy, we operate just like any other pharmacy in the United States. Because NextRx is regulated, we are able to sell the same generic medications as other pharmacies.
In the prescription drug world, PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers) are typically referred to as the middlemen. They came about to help negotiate the cost of drugs between providers (doctors, pharmacies, hospitals) and insurance companies, and to help protect consumers and insurance companies from overpaying for medications. While the purpose and goal of PBMs are inherently good, their profits and the price of prescription drugs have soared hand-in-hand since their inception. To this, we say "NO MORE!"

Pharmacy Benefit Manager profits have skyrocketed compared to the rest of the economy over the same time frame where we saw significant increase in prescription drug spending.

We've all been at the mercy of the system to dictate what we pay for our prescriptions for far too long. You can't negotiate with your insurance or Pharmacy Benefit Manager if the cost of your prescriptions are too high or aren't covered. NextRx is helping us take control of the price we pay for medications by keeping the hands of the middlemen out of the cookie jar. NextRx is the solution to the rising drug cost problem. When you fill your prescriptions at NextRx, you can do so with the comfort of knowing that you're getting the best price available. Our pills are the same, but our prices are better.
Traditional pharmacies are reliant on costly infrastructure: insurance companies and billing, the need to source a full range of name brand and generic drugs, and a broken system that can include multiple middlemen. NextRx is revolutionizing the way consumers gain access to prescription medication by dramatically reducing costs while maintaining exceptional quality.
As an open door, walk-in, drive-thru, and mail-order retail pharmacy, our customers can place orders for generic prescription medications and many popular supplements from anywhere in Missouri and Kansas. The experienced pharmacists at NextRx will help you save time filling prescriptions while saving up to 80% off of retail prices on high-quality generic medications.
Fortunately, there is no extra cost and no monthly membership required to use NextRx! You will only be charged for the cost of your prescriptions. We also offer fast and convenient shipping for our prescriptions, ideal for busy families with little time available to drive by our location or for those living outside of the Columbia, MO area.
We get our medications from the same suppliers as other pharmacies. The FDA-approved medications we offer are purchased directly from reputable wholesalers, saving our customers up to 80% over traditional insurance-based pharmacies. We work hard to negotiate the best possible prices and only offer a specific mix of generic medications which boosts our buying power.
Absolutely! With NextRx, you don't have to worry about going into the "Donut Hole", because unlike insurance, we never stop helping you save money on prescriptions and getting the best price possible.
At this time, we ship orders within the states of Missouri and Kansas.
In the event that your insurance doesn’t cover the cost of your medications, your copay is very high, or you're trapped in the Medicare "Donut Hole", you should check different sources to find the best price. While many online pharmacies sell these medications at discounted rates, they may still be using a multi-layer distribution system. This can inject additional cost layers, ultimately creating a higher cost for consumers.
Fortunately for our customers, there is a better alternative. With NextRx’s superior model, costs are significantly lower even than other pharmacies. Our mix of local support from highly-trained pharmacists and an online prescription delivery model offers the best of both worlds for our customers.
The first thing to understand is that prescription discount cards do not constitute insurance. Coupon cards from drug manufacturers may interact with drug coverage, but those from independent benefit companies – like GoodRx and other similar options – are often used in lieu of insurance.
Prescription drug cards can be used by anyone, but there are some serious limitations in their use. All insurance types, including employer-sponsored, federally subsidized, and no insurance, qualify for using discount drug cards but that doesn’t mean they’re the best option for getting cost-effective access to the prescription medications that you use on a regular basis. Additionally, if you have insurance, anything you pay will be out-of-pocket and will not count toward your deductible.
Patients show their pharmacist either a physical or digital card. Instead of using the patient’s insurance information, the pharmacy processes the prescription using information from the discount card. In this scenario, instead of paying their usual copay, the patient pays a reduced cash price. If the cash price is less than the copay of the patient, it might be a good deal. Unfortunately, this is rarely the situation and patients often find that they’re overpaying even with a prescription drug card. The costs can be significantly reduced when you use NextRx to source your prescriptions.
We don’t accept insurance (we now accept MO Medicaid), but you are likely to pay less for your medications if you use our pharmacy. Copays and deductibles often result in a higher prescription cost when combined for generic drugs. The savings are passed on to you since we do not pay fees to middlemen like insurance companies and plan administrators.
